Full Time Executive Assistant

 

Vancouver Urban Ministries is a Christian Charity working with children with learning difficulties and their families in some of the poorest neighborhoods of East Vancouver.

• Through our Rising Above Program, we provide free one-on-one specialized tutoring to children struggling with learning challenges in East Vancouver.
• Our Eagle Music School provides free music lessons to elementary school children.
• We support the children in our program, their families and those in the wider school community through monthly Family Gatherings, regular Special Events and field trips. Through these events, we share the values of the Kingdom of God and the truth of the new life in Jesus.

We are currently expanding the influence and scope of our program. We are seeking an enthusiastic, experienced, and committed Executive Assistant with strong Christian values, who shares our passion for helping disadvantaged children, to work alongside our Executive Director and Board Chair.

Preferred candidates should have relevant experience, have their own transport, and be available for work between 8:00 am and 4:00 pm (Monday – Friday) and occasionally on evenings and weekends. They should also have good computer and communications skills.
